I’m Ben Pehrson, Agent and Owner of Statewide Insurance Agency.
I’ve been with Statewide since 2010, starting as a receptionist and customer‑service assistant. I earned my property‑and‑casualty license in 2013, and later that year transitioned to a health‑benefits specialist at SelectHealth. I returned to Statewide in 2015 to focus on sales and client service. In 2018, Kari Clark and I purchased the agency from the former owner, Jim Welch, and have since continued to offer insurance solutions for individuals, families, and small businesses.
My primary focus areas are personal insurance, small‑business coverage—including health and dental benefits—and surety bonds for licensing and contract work (bid, payment, and performance bonds). I earned the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation in 2024, and I’ve been a Utah‑licensed Notary since 2015. I also hold an AAS in Computer Network Systems from Salt Lake Community College and a BS in Computer Programming from Western Governors University.
Professionally, I’m passionate about marketing insurance solutions, helping customers protect their major assets, and growing our contract‑bond and health/dental benefit services for small businesses.
When I’m not working, I enjoy running, mountain biking, and road biking, and I stay engaged with computers and emerging technology.
